The Chicago Friars meet at Ricochet’s, Richochet’s is a nice neighborhood corner tavern, a clean, well maintained version of our namesake, Friar Tucks. The owner of the bar has been there for over 20 years and also owns the building. The bar has a juke box, dart board, TVs, and a good selection of beer in bottles and on tap. The back area where we meet has recently been renovated, and looks spiffier than ever! The bar doesn’t have a kitchen but we can bring food in or have it delivered for our meetings. Ask the bartender for a menu from the various restaurants in the neighborhood. No waiting for a server to maybe get you a drink; just belly up to the bar. Oh yes, the ladies room got a critical, hands-on, personal inspection. It met our “cleanliness criteria” and, they even have a padded toilet seat for comfort! Parking Directions: There is street parking without residential parking restrictions. There are also two city parking lots less than a block away with metered parking (25 cents/hr) and another city lot a few blocks south on Lincoln. Public Transportation: The CTA Brown Line has a stop less than a block away at Western & Leland. If you need further directions go to:
