We camp, bike, hike and canoe from spring through fall (r**n or shine!) throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Day hikes, day bike rides, weekend camping trips and cabin camping are on the schedule. Don't like your holiday presents? Save them for a summer bonfire.

Friar Family Picnic
June 7 at Miami Woods
This is an all ages event! Bring a dish to pass, lawn chair and lawn toys, frisbee, croquet, your kids, your family, whatever and whomever you want but NO DOGS.
Locker Clean-up
Saturday, May 3 (rain date May 4) at Ellen's
C'mon, we know anything with "clean" in the title is usually first priority on your social schedule. But unless you want to camp and cook with nasty utensils, barely working campstoves and no paper plates or other essentials, help us out. So you've been helping for years? That's nice. You've also been camping for years. The more the merrier and the faster it goes. BBQ, beer and whatever leftover cookies we can find follow the clean-up festivities.
Camp Minnehaha Canoe and Camping Trip
Aiming for June 20-22
Canoe trip on Saturday, camping Friday and Saturday nights. Potluck dinner Saturday night.
Camping at Kettle Moraine South, Wisconsin
July 18-20
Amishland Lakes Bike Trip, Indiana -- a semi-official Friars trip
August 1-3
Bong State Recreation Area, Wisconsin -- a short trip over the Wisconsin border
August 15-17
Cabins at Evergreen Lodge -- a wonderful, long relaxing weekend
Labor Day weekend (Aug. 29 - Sept. 1)
Camping at Devil's Lake State Park -- hiking, biking, swimming
September 12-14
Chain O' Lakes State Park Cabin Camping, Indiana
October 10-12
