The down and dirty report!

Come on. Do you have to ask? OF COURSE everyone had fun! We had a young boy, who I don't think has EVER had so much fun in his life in one spot, at one time. And a friend of Debbie Clegg's who fit in PERFECTLY amongst us. You would have loved her!!! Just call her "Slush Cup Barbie"

Sadly, we took 4th. We lost by 10 points, but we aren't going there. Screech is livid about one event, and if his protest won, we'd be sitting pretty in Second.

It was a rather small crowd, and VERY cold Sunday, so not many showed up for the slush cup. As for Friars, only John and I were the brave souls. In fact, for most of the event, I was the only girl who competed. Then, of course, wonder woman showed up. She even checked her speed close to the "pond". ...bummer for me.... It was really cold. In fact, they had a skimmer that was taking off the ice that was forming on the top. But, the sun was out, and no wind, so it was "bearable", if that is even possible. I ALMOST made it all the way. At the last second, my right ski decided it needed a bath, and threw me, on my side, into the finish line. At least I crossed, and took second. Sadly, my neck is suffering the affects of whiplash....

We didn't have our usual teams for Crack the whip (rope-a-dope), other than Dennis, Mike, Ellen, and Dale. THEY took second. We (Barry, John, myself, and Debbie's friend, Susan) took third.

The reception was at Ivans. So, between the dinner and the DJ, we had the wonderful Mac Daddy! Good night had by all.

As usual, a great time! Went through all the Jell-O shots except for two that I found in my coat pocket Monday morning. With the cold on Saturday night (we've heard both 15 and 23 below zero - without windchill) the beer in the coolers and bus, froze. First time I've been hit with THAT situation...

Wish you could all have been along. It was a great time!

Darcy, your fearless trip leader.
