We've confirmed the schedule for our ski trips for the winter of 2010-2011, and registration is open to all members!

Marquette Mountain, Michigan
January 21-23, 2011
Approx. $289
In cooperation with Pine Point Ski Club
50 spots total • Trip leaders: John Daviduke (Pine Point), Lynn Newton (Friars)
Cost includes round-trip party bus (with bathroom!) from Chicago to Marquette; two-day lift ticket; two nights’ lodging at Comfort Inn Suites; daily continental breakfast; Friday dinner on the bus; Saturday and Sunday lunch and beverages! It's a great deal and a great deal of fun!
Marquette has some of the best terrain in the midwest, with a 600' vertical rise and 25 separate runs, the longest over 1-1/4 miles. The weekend will include NASTAR ski races, too, for those who want to compete!


Telluride, CO (CMSC Chicago Week)
February 26 - March 5, 2011
$1,425 (deposits being accepted, full payment due by December 6 or 20 meeting)

Cost includes round-trip airfare from Chicago to Montrose, CO; a five-day lift ticket; seven nights’ lodging in Bear Creek Lodge; a welcome reception and breakfast, on-mountain picnic, aprés ski activity, a farewell party and more!
Join fellow skiers from all around Chicagoland for a full week out west, with all the planning handled by the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council! Telluride is a legendary ski area with 2,000+ skiable acres, 120 trails, and breathtaking views. It's also two towns in one, Telluride and the mountain village, connected with a gondola until midnight for a variety of dining and entertainment options. Don't miss it!


CMSC Winter Carnival
March 11-13, 2011
Ski Brule, MI;
$250 (includes bus transportation from Chicago area); $210 w/out bus

Trip leader: Pat Banik.
Cost includes 2 breakfast buffets, wine & cheese social and sleigh ride to the Homestead BBQ Dinner. Also 2 nights lodging and 2 day lift ticket with lots of games, free beer and fun!


Mount Bachelor, (Bend) OR
March 24-29, 2011

Cost includes round-trip airfare from Chicago to Bend, OR; a four-day lift ticket; and five nights’ accommodations, a short walk from the lifts. It's a new location for the Friars and we're pumped to take on the 9,000-foot volcano. 3,683 of the 3,700 skiable acres is accessible by lifts. We have racing, too—want to build your skiing skill and get competitive? Ski with the Friars—all levels welcome! Medals are given to those who won't take "lose" for an answer! And plenty of aprés ski cocktails are available for racers and non-racers alike. Check out this season’s schedule!
