The Chicago Friars ended up in (our comfortable) 3rd Place spot in CMSC racing behind the dedicated Tatry Ski Club (1st) and the always competitive Wild Bunch, who retook their 2nd place standing this year.

Friars president, Jill Hronek, and Publicity Chair, Sue Finis, whose smiling faces graced the CMSC racing brochure this year along with Friar member Jill McCuaig, represented the racing program at a variety of area tradeshows this year in an attempt to drum up more participants.

Snow at Wilmot, Brule, Marquette (no wind!), and Granite Peak was in great shape this year. Join us for the 2008-09 season! Congratulations to these Friars top finishers and all racers.

Race with the Friars...you won't find a more supportive or passionate team anywhere!

Want to build your skiing/boarding skills and get competitive? Ski with the Friars--all levels welcome! We'll be racing at Brule (MI), Wilmot (WI), and Marquette (MI). First race is Dec. 13-14, 2008, at Ski Brule, in da' UP (that's Michigan's upper penninsula for you uninitiated). Hone your skiing skills and try your legs at racing this season. It's a great way to boost the Midwest skiing experience. You don't have to "be good" -- it's fun no matter what.
