Friars Bike Rides

We are fair weather riders but know how to dress for changing conditions.

Tips:

Please wear a helmet. Preserve your brain.

Bring a spare tube with you so a flat doesn't ruin your ride, or ours!

Bring water, and snacks if you know or think you will need fuel.

While we're generally pretty laid back, please be READY TO RIDE at start time. That means showing up 10-15 minutes early to get yourself ride-ready, water bottle filled, and other "personal adjustments" taken care of. We ride at start time.

WE WILL SCHEDULE SOME SHOW AND GO RIDES BUT WE'VE GOT A COUPLE ORGANIZED RIDES THAT MANY FRIARS ATTEND! JOIN US!

July 29-30 -- two days! Amishland Ride in Shipshewana, IN
THIS IS NOT organized by Friars but a number of us do the ride each year. So much fun riding through Amish country, great eats along the way and at the rest stops.

Register for the ride at: http://www.amishlandlakes.com/ (earlier is cheaper!)

Reserve a cabin at: http://shipshewanacampgroundnorth.com/ -- deluxe to rustic -- all very clean and nice.

Trip Leaders: No official leaders, ask Qs on Facebook or email us.

August 5 -- Bike to the Beat -- near Appleton, WI

Lots of routes, lots of music, lots of rest stops with food including Dunkin Donuts, brats, cheese curds and pizza. Learn more and register at www.biketothebeat.com
