40 Years and Still Going Downhill

Yeah, old joke, we know.
But it's true. The Friars celebrated 40 years as a club in 2012 and we're still going strong with year-round activities for people of all physical abilities. Whether you enjoy hucking cliffs on skis, a muddy hike through the woods, or prefer a weekend architectural tour and a nice glass of wine, you can find a Friar to do it with you. Our social calendar is full and we're always planning the next great thing.

Our members range in age from their 30s to their 80s. (And some of those "grandpas" could probably kick your butt on a ski race course!) But while our ages range widely we have at least one thing in common, we like to stay active.

Social events such as "meet and eats," pub crawls, $3-chuck blind tastings, Ravinia/Millennium Park outings, ball games, and movie nights are always popular. We have an annual chili cook-off, an end-of-summer campfire and pumpkin carving, and an early summer picnic.

Join us at a one of our social meetings and see what we're all about. You'll learn about a great ski club and make some new friends! If skiing, socializing, and summer-fun things are your faves, then joining the Friars is the right thing for you!
